✍️ Devlog #3: Menu System, Click Feedback & Background Music Polish

Hey everyone! 👋

This week has been all about refining the user experience in Jumpy, especially in the menu and game over screens. I wanted to make every interaction feel more rewarding, playful, and complete — even the small ones like pressing a button!

🎮 What’s New?

  • 🟢 Restart Button: A new "Restart" button was added to the Game Over screen, allowing players to quickly retry the game without going back to the main menu. This helps keep the flow going!
  • 🟢 Return to Main Menu: Players can now cleanly return to the main menu using scene transitions instead of just hiding/showing UI panels. This improves reset consistency and feels smoother.
  • 🟢 Random Click Sounds: Every UI button now triggers a random retro-style click sound, giving instant feedback and keeping the game feel dynamic and satisfying.
  • 🟢 Punch Animation + Star Pop: Buttons now scale briefly and spawn starburst particle effects when clicked. A small detail — but it adds joy and charm to every interaction.
  • 🟢 Background Music Rotation: The menu now cycles through different background music tracks randomly. Each one sets a unique mood, keeping the menu screen fresh and fun to stay in.
